1. Description
Ethyl acetate (EA) is a colorless liquid with a pleasant and characteristic odor, similar to nail polish or nail polish remover. As an ester obtained from ethanol and acetic acid, it is often abbreviated as EtOAc, and is produced on a fairly large scale as a solvent.

EA is a mild, volatile, relatively non-toxic, and non-hygroscopic polar solvent.
Appearance: Clear liquid.
Odor: sweet ester.
Density: 0.897 g/ml.
Water solubility: 83g/L (20oC).
3. Application
Ethyl acetate is a solvent used quite commonly, especially in the paint industry, inks, in the production of paints and nail polish removers, etc.
Decaffeinated coffee beans or cannabis leaves.
Used as a solvent.
Perfume.
Fungicides/insecticides.
